meet your new favourite podcast
(spoiler: it's mine and my friend's)
Humour me while I shamelessly use my small but mighty email list to promote the love child of Toronto journalists Meaghan Wray (me) and Sadaf Ahsan (my bestie and Canada’s #1 whore).
We met over a year ago when we were asked to be part of Hot Docs’ inaugural Thirst Talks panel series, but followed each other on Instagram long before that. Pre-panel, we met up for tacos — both with an inner knowing that we’d be doing some cool things together and become two peas in a lil creative pod.
Speaking of pods… We started one. It’s called Eat Your Heart Out and the idea was born over many a dinner together, talking about dating, sex, relationships, coming out later in life, and what our lives could look like if we threw the typical expectations — marriage, babies, heterosexuality, white picket fence — to the curb. And the grief and beauty of living the kind of lives we want to.
We wanted a home for all of these conversations that we know other people like us are desperate for. So we created it. And it’s been so much fun to build and work on something that isn’t for money or clout, but purely for the love of yapping about the things we give big fucks about.
